Tai Chi

Gentle movement. Better balance. Greater confidence.

What is Tai Chi?

Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise that combines controlled movements, weight shifting, balance, breathing and mindfulness.

The movements are performed slowly and deliberately, allowing you to focus on how your body moves while developing greater awareness, control and confidence.

Although Tai Chi has its origins in martial arts, it is now widely practised as a form of gentle movement and exercise.

At Bodyform, our Tai Chi sessions combine traditional movement patterns with a physiotherapy-informed approach, focusing on mobility, balance, stability, coordination and movement confidence.

What can Tai Chi help with?

Regular Tai Chi practice can be a great way to:

  • Improve balance and coordination
  • Develop strength and stability
  • Improve mobility and movement control
  • Practise weight transfer and controlled movement
