About Yamini
Yamini became a physiotherapist because of her belief in the power of movement and exercise to help people manage pain, improve their quality of life and regain confidence in their bodies. She believes physiotherapy is about more than treating an injury, it is about helping people understand their bodies and make positive changes to support a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Yamini qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2022 and has three years of experience in private practice, alongside completing a Master’s degree in Advanced Physiotherapy. Her main area of interest is musculoskeletal physiotherapy, particularly back, neck and shoulder problems, although she enjoys treating a wide range of conditions.
Her approach combines hands-on treatment with exercise and rehabilitation, with a particular interest in progressive strength and resistance training. She enjoys building relationships with her patients, listening to their concerns and helping them understand their condition. Her aim is for every patient to leave feeling clearer, more confident and hopefully with at least one ‘Ohhh, that makes sense now!’ moment.
Away from the clinic, Yamini enjoys exploring new places, getting outdoors, travelling by train with friends and discovering great vegetarian food. She also enjoys recreational badminton, pool, carrom and occasionally painting.
With a strong interest in fashion and creativity, Yamini jokes that if she wasn't a physiotherapist, she could see herself becoming a fashion entrepreneur. Her ideal weekend is simple: explore somewhere new, eat good food, perhaps do a little shopping, and repeat!
